All of the massage therapists at Boston Massage Associates are nationally certified, fully insured and licensed in the state of Massachusetts. We maintain the highest professional standards for bodywork in our practice. Our goal is to become your partners on your journey to health and wellness. We listen to your concerns. We work together to diminish stress and pain, improve energy and flexibility and to enable you to feel the joy in the journey to a state of well-being.
We customize each treatment for you. Before beginning every visit, the therapist meets with you to discuss your goals for the session and to identify areas the therapist needs to address. Whether you are training for your next big athletic event, are recovering from an orthopedic surgery, managing an acute or chronic health care condition or want relief from the stress and tension of everyday living, our massage therapists will design a treatment just for you. Our therapists are trained in a variety of modalities from Deep Tissue and Thai table stretching to traditional Swedish massage. We also educate our clients on what they can do to in between sessions to maximize the benefits of the work we are doing together and raise body awareness.
We use fragrance free, hypoallergenic products and offer sessions ranging from 30 to 90 minutes in length. We have a preferred client card; after 10 treatments, the 11th one is free. Scheduling your appointment is convenient and easy using our online scheduler Schedulicity.
Eric Derrico, owner and massage therapist at Boston Massage Associates, is passionate about making the world a better place…one muscle at a time. When Eric was in high school, he enjoyed practicing the techniques he learned by reading his mother’s books about massage and anatomy. He knew by the feedback he received that he had a gift for the work. He attended the Massage Institute of New England. After working at the AthenaAveda Salon and Spa and Boston Bodyworker, Eric decided to launch his own practice where he would have the opportunity to create the optimal healing environment for his clients.
By integrating a unique blend of Thai Bodywork, Deep Tissue, and Classic Swedish techniques, Eric alleviates tension, reduces pain, increases energy and promotes the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Eric combines his use of his intuition with his extensive knowledge of body work to bring about a sense of health and well being in his clients. Eric is fully licensed and insured in Massachusetts and is Nationally Certified as a massage therapist.
In addition to his passion for body work, Eric enjoys surfing, philanthropy, rescuing dogs, hiking and is an active environmentalist. He created the Clean Beach Initiative to organize beach clean ups in Massachusetts. He is on the Executive Board of the Surfrider Foundation. Eric has been selected as the massage therapist to provide pre and post race massages for BA Event Promotions. Eric volunteered his time and talents for the runners at Lexs Run and the Pan Mass Challenge. He organized massage fund raisers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Doctors Without Borders and a Boston Marathon runner for Childrens Hospital.
